Sympathies to Uncle Gordon, Aunt Mildred and the Goodwin family
Mrs. Lola Elton of Medicine Hat, passed away on Friday, October 17th, 2008 at the age of 50 years. Lola leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Blaine Elton and fiancée, Cherilyn McNeely and Evan Elton and special friend, Lindsy Gardner, and their father, John Elton, all of Medicine Hat; three step-children, Sharon (Jason) George of Medicine Hat, Kevin Elton and Darryl Elton, both of Brandon, Manitoba; seven grandchildren, Taira Dawn, Matthew, Sage, Tyran, Trae, Jaysa, and Ashtyn; her parents, Gordon and Mildred Goodwin of Weyburn, Saskatchewan; one brother, Lonnie (Debbie) Goodwin of McCord, Saskatchewan; four sisters, Gayle (Gerry) Barth of Medicine Hat, Mavis Souther of Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Twyla (John) Kot of Griffin, Saskatchewan, and Brenda (Kent) Royer of Langley, British Columbia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lola was predeceased by one grandson, Jayton. Lola was born and raised on a farm in McCord before moving to Weyburn at the age of eleven. Always a perfectionist, she completed high school at Western Christian College and went on to study Business Management at Oklahoma Christian University. She then moved to Medicine Hat where she worked at the Royal Bank. Here, she was married and had her two sons - her pride and joy. She loved to cook, work in her garden and shop. She was always pretty in pink. She loved to sing, crochet and go for coffee with friends and family. A generous and loving woman, she was a mother to many, a special sister and a cherished daughter. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed. The Funeral Service will be held in HILLCREST EVANGELICAL MISSIONARY CHURCH, 3785 - 13th Avenue SE, on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Bolender officiating. Interment will follow in the Family Plot at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery.
