Our family weekend

We had planned that after Chloe was born that we would have a family (All 6 of us now as we have added two more) vacation (weekend). The long weekend in August seemed to fit into everyones plans so we decided on Calgary. We left on Friday (Aug 3 - 9pm) after Kevin, Kathy and I where done work from Regina by plane. This was an exciting time as we now had two others to join us ... truly a family first. We had two rooms (of course a crib for Chloe) booked at the Westin hotel downtown Calgary. A rental vehicle was somewhat different booking this time as usually it is for 4 and a few suitcases.. however with 5 adults, one infant, suitcases for all and of course the stroller and car seat made it interesting. A large SUV to the rescue and still then we had to remove a portion of the rear seat to get it all in. Saturday was spent in Calgary doing some shopping then back for supper and swimming. Sunday was to Banff for brunch at the Banff Spring Hotel and a hike to Johnston Canyon Falls. Monday after getting up late a, finishing up the day looking around at the Chinook mall and then to the airport for the return trip home at 8pm. Chloe is going to do just fine travelling with us, she did great as usual, slept on the plane and had smiles for everyon. Poor Kevin however .... I do hope that he can learn to travel with us I am sure that this was also a new experience for him travelling with so many. It was fun and we are looking forward to many more family trips together.
