Rhaea's update
Uncle George has just called me with an update on Rhaea's progress today. He says that Rhaea has impoved quite a bit since yesterday. She is much more alert and is able to carry on brief conversations. She was having some trouble with the morphine (headaches, sick, and such) so they have moved her to Tylenol 3.
Some people have asked if there is a cast on her leg where they put the bar in and the answer is no. There is only the two incisions which they have stitched up.They have changed the bandages on the back of her head and uncle George said he did get a look at the cut. The cut is about 5 or 6 inches in length and the doctor did say that it is healing quite nicely.A few hours ago they did have Rhaea move to the edge of the bed and try to stand up. As you can probably guess it was quite painful after what she has been through.
Tomorrow, they hope to begin getting her to walk. The doctors have suggested that she begin using a walker instead of crutches to begin putting strength back into the leg. They do have her doing breathing exercises every hour to help heal the lung that was bruised during the accident. As she does the exercises, it is to exercise the lung she has damaged and begin draining some of the fluid that has built up in it.Rhaea's family and our entire family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during these two days.
We are blessed to have Rhaea still with us and recovering as quickly as she is. Rhaea has been blessed with having such wonderful people in her life that care for her and we, as a family, are blessed with having so many people that are concerned for us as well.
Thanks again for everything!Brett, Pam, and the entire Fowler family

I was just up to see Rhaea and she looked so much better than even last night. She looked more like herself. We even had a few laughs tonight. It is good to see her improving so quickly!

Lots and lots of thoughts and prayers are behind you Rhaea. I have the picture of you when you came back from Bulgaria with your Powerlifting medals around your neck, on my desk and every time I look at it, I am thankful again that you were blessed with protection during the accident. Take care and keep improving. We love you so much!!!!
